  •  Ensure that Safety is the first priority by complying with all safe work practices, rules, regulations, and

    safety polices as set forth by the company and the customer.

     Drive and operate all CDL required equipment in a safe and professional manner, which includes

    mainly Vacuum Trucks, and Service Trucks; Perform Pre/Post Trip inspections on units.

     Properly document all Company, Federal, State, and Customer documentation/paperwork as required by law and or established policy in a clear and legible manner.

     Ability to operate high-pressured water-blaster and vacuum equipment.

     Able to troubleshoot equipment, and as the need arises perform minor repairs

     Ensure equipment and company property is maintained in good, proper working condition.

     Have a general understanding and ability to work in Elevated or Confined Space entry required areas as well as Lock-Out Tag-Out and Crane Safety. (Training provided by CES)

  • Must have and maintain a Class “A” or “B” CDL license with a Tanker Endorsement (N) or Combination of Tanker and Hazardous (X) endorsement, air brakes and current DOT medical certificate.

     Must have experience driving at least a manual 10 speed transmission or higher.

     Maintain insurability under the company’s insurance plan.

     Have a general understanding and ability to work in Elevated or Confined Space entry required areas as well as Lock-Out Tag-Out and Crane Safety (Training provided by Crossroads)

     Must be able to comprehend and understand the English language to a level that all safety instructions and emergency situations are complied with.

     Must be able to pass a pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion, and or post-accident/injury Substance abuse screening and background check.

     Must be willing to travel overnight in the midwest for assignments as required.

  •  Distinguish emergency signals and instructions while on duty.

     Must be able to repetitively sit, lift, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, reach and crawl.

     Must be able to repeatedly lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

     Must be able to work in extreme conditions such as; heat, cold, dusty, and wet conditions for extended periods of time.

     Must be able to work in confined spaces and tight quarters.

     Must be able to wear protective clothing such as respirators, safety glasses, steel toe shoes, coveralls, and hearing protection.

     Must be able to climb ladders, work from stationary platforms from elevated heights and confined spaces.

     Must be capable of working extended hours and variable shifts.

 

General Laborer/Field Technician

Crossroads Environmental Services (Crossroads) is looking for dedicated General Laborer/Field Technicians to join our team in Indianapolis. This position is responsible for the operation of tools and equipment in a variety of customer work sites for providing industrial and/or environmental cleaning.

  •  Strictly adhere to Crossroads Health and Safety Policies and Procedures

     Work with designated company representative to learn and understand all safety, operational, and company rules, regulations and responsibilities.

     Use equipment such as, water blast gun, pressure washer, dry and wet vacuum hose, industrial vacuum operating controls, etc.

     Operate hand tools including shovels, squeegees, brooms, etc.

     Assist in the set up and tear down of job site.

     Perform all work as directed by on-sight supervisor or leadership personnel.

  •  Prefer Employees with a valid driver’s license or valid state ID, with a clean driving record.

     Must have reliable transportation to the Crossroads office on a daily basis.

     Able to physically handle hydro-blast and/or industrial hoses (lift up to 50 pounds).

     Must be safety conscious and have a good work ethic.

     Must be able to work varied hours and on an on-call basis. Limited travel as required.

     A general understanding and ability to work in Elevated work platforms or Confined Space Entry Required areas, follow Lock-Out Tag-Out and Crane Safety procedures.

     Ensure equipment and company property is maintained in proper condition.

     Must be able to pass a pre-employment, random, and or post-accident/injury substance abuse screening.

     Use of respirators (including fit testing) may be required based on specific customer needs to meet project safety requirements.

     Ability to maintain a consistent workload that involves physical manual labor.

     Ability to maintain alertness and fitness for duty.

     Preferred (not a must) 1-2 years of “hands on” experience with tools or heavy equipment.

     Experience performing manual labor in an outside setting is a bonus.

     Arrive at shop or jobsite on time, in uniform, properly groomed, mentally alert, and physically able to work. Follow branch process for work schedule.
